Billing solutions for Push-to-talk

Click here to register for workshop

Friday 29 July 2005
Separately bookable post-conference workshop

Push-to-Talk has already proven to be a lucrative new revenuegenerating source. It has the unique ability to penetrate both the price sensitive youth market, as well as the high spending enterprise market. While PTT subscribers want flexible, simple, easy to understand pricing plans, carriers want to capture premium services
revenue from all subscribers without risking revenue leakage. However, delivering the pricing flexibility desired by subscribers requires costly and complicated upgrades of mobile core infrastructure. So how do you create pricing methods to capitalise on PTT’s broad appeal?

For in-depth coverage of Push-to-talk, take advantage of our specially designed workshop on Billing Solutions for Push-to-talk. The workshop will provide you with intensive learning experience that will prove invaluable to your future success. By attending this workshop, you will gain the knowledge and contacts that will enable you to make an immediate difference in your organisation.

This workshop will address key topics such as:

  1. Identifying key push-to-talk marketing decisions which may be
    restricted by your billing system
  2. Determining whether new push-to-talk pricing models can be
    supported by current billing systems
  3. Examining whether your billing system can support more
complex push-to-talk pricing and promotion propositions to
gain a competitive edge in a crowded market
  4. Analysing whether different market segments may require
more complex billing: youth, consumer, business
  5. Developing a billing migration strategy to ensure the required
level of flexibility and scalability for complex pricing and
promotion propositions and advanced push-to-media services
  6. Examining how carriers can use pricing methods to set
themselves apart from the competition to build a differentiated
image in a very competitive market

This workshop will be valuable to carriers who are still working to overcome specific challenges relating to effectively controlling and charging for PTT and other advanced data services. It will introduce a charging proxy that will deliver carriers greater flexibility to charge PoC users on a wide range of pricing models, including subscription plan, individual message, traffic volume, and time.

Whether you have heard the term Push-to-talk and want to know what it all means, or whether you are already familiar with certain aspects of it and want to round out your knowledge, the Push-to-talk workshop will satisfy your desire to reach beyond the hype into the substance of Push-to-talk.
